RTE’s Paralympic Coverage Details

RTE have committed to extensive coverage of the Irish team’s participation at this year’s Paralympic Games. Following on from the success of the Athens 2004 coverage, RTE have become a rights holder for this year’s Games and will broadcast 6 programmes from Beijing during the Paralympic Games lead by presenter Shane O’Donoghue. The provisional dates and times of these programmes are:
Sat Sept 6th 1930-2000 Preview & Opening Ceremony
Mon Sept 8th 1930-2000
Wed Sept 10th 2325-2355
Fri Sept 12th 1930-2000
Sun Sept 14th 1930-2000
Wed Sept 17th 1900-1930 Review & Closing Ceremony
In addition to the T.V. programmes, the Games will be covered extensively on RTE News programmes with Colm Murray reporting from Beijing, along with further coverage on RTE Radio with Adrian Eames and on RTE online.
