The Lord Mayor of Dublin, Cllr Emer Costello, will be joined by sporting personalities including Bernard Dunne, Katie Taylor, David Gillick and other stars of GAA, Soccer and Rugby to announce the City’s appointment as Dublin - European Capital of Sport 2010 to over 200 sporting organisations that operate in Dublin, in City Hall today at 12 noon.

The Irish cerebral palsy team were victorious in Arnhem with a 2-1 win over Holland to secure 5th place in the 12 team World Championships.
