The Paralympic sport of Boccia will be making its debut appearance at the BT Paralympic World Cup in Manchester in one weeks’ time, as Ireland take on the GB team in an International Match.

Recently I had the opportunity to have lunch with gold medal-winning Paralympic athlete Michael McKillop, where I learnt a great deal about what it takes to truly be on top of your game. It struck me that achievements of this nature could provide the ONE Workplace team with some insights as we continue on our journey towards becoming world-class.

Round two of the Nationa Cerebral Palsy Sport Ireland Boccia League will commence next week. 16 Teams have progressed from Round One and will now all play for a place in the Final Day.

The World Championships are to be held in The Netherlands from June 17 till July 1, 2011.

The Draw for the  2011 CPISRA World Championships took place  in Holland last weekend and so far 15 countries have confirmed their intention to compete for the vital 8 places at the Paralyimpics in London 2012.

Cerebral Palsy Sport Ireland are proud to announce the details of the St Patricks Day, Invitational Football Tournament that they are hosting from the 15th to the 20th March in Dublin

A one-stop-shop for wheelchair sports in Limerick,
Club participants will eventually be offered up to 5 hours of wheelchair
sports per week such as wheelchair hurling, basketball, tennis, rugby
league, boccia and athletics plus social nights.

The Meath Sports inclusion Disability Officer is hosting a Come ‘n’ try it for Powerchair football in Simonstown GAA, Navan on Saturday 26th March at 1pm.

Ireland’s Garrett Culliton and Ray O’Dwyer have been encouraged by their respective performances at the IPC Athletics World Championships in Christchurch, New Zealand and will now focus on qualification for the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
